S&K Building Services Names Brian Grosse as Chief Executive Officer

S&K appointed Brian Grosse as Chief Executive Officer, bringing deep experience scaling multi-site essential-services businesses to lead the company’s next chapter of national growth.

Grosse built a portable-services company from the ground up before it was acquired by Lakeshore Recycling Systems (LRS), where he rose to Executive Vice President of the Great Lakes Region, leading operations, growth strategy, and P&L across multiple states.

“S&K has the foundation that most companies in this space spend years trying to build,” said Grosse. “We are going to grow this platform aggressively, without compromising the operational standards and service quality that earned S&K its reputation.”

Grosse holds an Executive MBA from Northern Illinois University.

S&K Acquires Bob Popp Building Services and Clean D Window Cleaning, Enters the Mountain West

A dual acquisition established S&K’s presence in Colorado and Arizona, adding nearly a century of combined market expertise in commercial window cleaning and exterior building maintenance.

Bob Popp Building Services, founded in 1975, has served the Denver metro for 50 years, providing high-rise, mid-rise, and ground-level commercial window cleaning and servicing some of the city’s most prominent towers.

Clean D Window Cleaning, founded in 2008, is one of the largest commercial exterior cleaning companies in Arizona, serving Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, and Tucson with window cleaning, pressure washing, glass restoration, and roof anchor inspection.

Both companies continue to operate under their established local brands while benefiting from S&K’s national infrastructure and safety programs.

S&K Building Services Acquires A-1 Window Washers, Expands Into the Gulf Coast

S&K acquired A-1 Window Washers, a window cleaning and pressure washing company based in Slidell, Louisiana, marking the company’s first presence in the Gulf South and adding drone-washing capabilities.

Founded in 1998, A-1 built a strong reputation across Louisiana’s Gulf Coast for window washing, pressure washing, soft washing, roof cleaning, and drone-based commercial washing.

A-1’s drone washing capabilities let technicians safely service hard-to-reach commercial surfaces, complementing S&K’s rope descent, swing stage, and water-fed pole operations.

With the addition of A-1, S&K now operates in 14 states with 20+ branch markets across the Midwest, Southeast, Northeast, and Gulf Coast.

S&K Building Services Appoints Garrett Nowak as Chief Financial Officer

S&K appointed Garrett Nowak as Chief Financial Officer to drive financial strategy, acquisition integration, and infrastructure buildout as the company enters its next phase of national growth.

Nowak’s background spans investment banking, private equity, corporate development, and executive leadership in multi-site services businesses, including roles at Roadrunner Freight, RTM Engineering Consultants, Silver Oak Services Partners, and Baird.

“S&K has built something rare in this industry: a national platform with genuine operational discipline and the kind of client relationships that take decades to earn,” said Nowak. “This is the kind of business that gets better as it grows.”

Nowak holds a BBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business.
